1.3A - Hardware 
In this assignment you will be producing a Powerpoint presentation to describe the different features of ICT systems.
Before you start your research set up your presentation. Choose an effective design for your slides - all of your slides should have the same layout and colour scheme. Choose a slide layout which allows you to include an image. You will be printing your slides at the end of 1.3C. You should therefore choose a light coloured background with darker text. You will also be printing your slides 6 per page so do not use a font size smaller than 24. If you cannot fit in all the information you have probably included too much - check with your teacher. Go onto a second slide rather than reducing your size.
Now produce your first slide which will be a content page. Include the following -
Hardware; Input devices, Processing and storage, Output devices
Software; Operating Systems, Applications Software
Connections; Cabling, Networks
You should now produce slides to describe
- Five input devices
- Five processing and storage devices (you must include a slide about processors)
- Four output devices
Each slide should include; Type of device (Input, Processing Output - you could number each device e.g. Input Device 1 etc.), Name of device, A description of each device and what it is used for, Advantages of the device, Disadvantages of the device, A picture of the device
You may use websites and text books to help you to find out about hardware but your writing must be in your own words. Do not copy and paste text from the internet - you cannot submit this as your own work.
